Youth & Teen
At the Y, our sports staff, coaches and volunteers share a singular vision of helping all youth reach their full potential in life. We leverage the excitement and passion around recreational and competitive programming to create a healthy outlet for children to gain new skills, develop a sense of team and connect with positive role models. Kids are taught basic game skills in each sport to help give them a better understanding of the game, and keep them physically active.
At YMCA After School, kids expand their learning beyond the classroom. We use a balanced curriculum with opportunities for character development, STEM activities, arts and humanities, community service and physical activity. YMCA After School is a structured program with time for kids to start homework, engage in active fun and enjoy a snack with friends.
Leaders Club provides youth grades 6-12 with extensive leadership training, offering opportunities for service to the YMCA and the community. Leaders Club also serves as a recruiting program for future Y professionals! We are here to develop leaders, fostering with them a culture of service in addition to knowledge and training that will help them better serve others and shape a healthy and productive life for themselves.
Our Summer Camps are made up of two different types of camps: Enrichment Camps and Day Camp. Summer Day Camp can make a difference in a child’s life. See what the YMCA has in store for your child this summer!
Youth in Government
Youth in Government™ is a national program of the Y that involves thousands of teens nationwide in state-organized, model-government programs. Students from every corner of the U.S. have the opportunity to immerse themselves in experiential civic engagement and to, quite literally, practice democracy.
